Leather Talk Explores Material & Design Insights

Indonesia Design District (IDD) hosted a discussion forum titled Leather Talk as part of its Designer & Architects Gathering series, under the theme “The Essence of Leather in Modern Living.” The event served as a platform for designers, architects, and creative industry professionals to exchange insights and explore the role of leather in contemporary design practice.

The session encouraged participants to look beyond leather as a purely aesthetic material, highlighting its functional value and strong character in supporting both interior and product design concepts. The discussion emphasized the importance of material selection as a critical part of the creative process, influencing spatial experience and the overall quality of design outcomes.

Under the topic “Material & Design Insights,” the event featured Levy Kosasih as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he discussed the characteristics of leather, including its texture, durability, and versatility across various design applications.
