Cultural Festivities Awaits at IDD this Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is set to bring a festive transformation to Indonesia Design District (IDD), turning the district into a vibrant space filled with culture, celebration, and togetherness. With Chinese New Year themed decorations and a cheerful carousel installation planned across the area, IDD invites visitors to welcome the Lunar New Year in an atmosphere that feels lively, colorful, and full of joy.
As part of the celebration, IDD will present the Chinese Art Pop-Up Museum by Yun Artified, taking place at the Townhall, IDD, from 30 January to 22 February 2026. This upcoming pop-up museum will showcase curated exhibitions and interactive workshops, offering visitors an engaging way to explore Chinese art, culture, and traditions in a creative and accessible setting for all ages.
Throughout the festive period, a series of cultural programs will enliven the district and create moments to look forward to. Weekend art workshops, Chinese Calligraphy and Chinese Couplet sessions, live sketching, and Chinese painting activities are set to take place, alongside cultural performances across IDD. Visitors can expect dynamic showcases such as Shaolin Wushu, Gu Zheng performances, Lion Dance, and a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony, bringing the spirit of Chinese New Year to life.
More than just a festive décor, Chinese New Year at IDD is envisioned as a shared celebration of culture, creativity, and connection. Whether participating in workshops, enjoying cultural performances, or simply strolling through the district and soaking in the atmosphere, visitors are warmly invited to celebrate the Lunar New Year together and create meaningful moments at Indonesia Design District.
